Drinking system cleanout between flocks

Performance goal: All drinking water treatment, storage and distribution system equipment in sheds must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Performance criteria: Water treatment, storage and distribution system equipment are cleaned after each flock.
Minimum requirements
Water lines are sanitised between flocks.
If scale is an issue, a separate acid treatment is conducted.
Water lines and nipples are inspected and repaired or replaced if damaged.
Best practice options
Drinking system and header tanks are drained and cleaned before each batch.
