This short course is designed as an introduction or refresher to biosecurity on meat chicken farms. It is based on the National Farm Biosecurity Manual for Chicken Growers.
It covers the key biosecurity considerations for meat chicken farms—people, equipment and vehicles, water quality management and sanitation, dead chicken collection and disposal, rodent control, end of batch procedures, record keeping, emergency disease outbreak preparation and legislative requirements.
